WE’RE HIRING: FULL-TIME SEAMSTRESS

Tininga is looking for a skilled and practical Seamstress to join our team at the Best Buy Supermarket sewing room.

The primary purpose of this role is to help clear material overstocks by cutting and sewing fabric into quality, saleable products. Production will focus mainly on men’s shirts, women’s blouses and simple household items such as curtains.

Key responsibilities:

• Measure, mark and cut fabric accurately
• Sew men’s shirts, blouses and other simple garments
• Produce household items such as curtains
• Work efficiently to meet agreed production targets
• Maintain consistent workmanship and product quality
• Use fabric carefully to minimise waste
• Keep the sewing room, equipment and materials organised
• Teach, train and develop other seamstresses
• Share practical sewing and cutting techniques with the wider team

We are looking for someone who:

• Has strong practical sewing and fabric-cutting skills
• Can confidently operate sewing equipment
• Can produce neat, consistent work
• Is reliable, organised and able to work full-time
• Is comfortable working toward production targets
• Is patient and willing to train and develop others
• Can work independently while also supporting a team

This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced seamstress who enjoys producing practical items and helping others improve their skills.
